August 2008

The year has just got very very busy for James. Still on the road with Bon Giovi, Motly Crew & Black Cat Audio. He is still teaching and running the James Crofts Group.

*NEW PROJECT* James has now joined The Louis Hanshaw Band. The band are working with central goverment to release a track into the UK charts for Anti-Bullying week in November. (more news on this and the band soon)

May 2008

The first part of 2008 has been very busy for James. Live shows playing bass with Bon Giovi (top Bon Jovi tribute), Motley Crew (the uk’s only Motley Crue tribute) and James had the homer of being the front of house engineer for Geno Washington, Pauline Black and Eddie Floyd on the 'This Is Soul' tour.

James has also been working with The Blockheads and for the seconded year running the Top Indian star Sukshinder Shinda.

James is Touring with Bon Giovi at Motley Crew the start of 2008. He is also doing 2 shows with Geno Washington with Black Cat Audio.

James and Dean Harris will be working more on their NEW album at the start of 2008. Clips will be online soon!

October 2007

James has been so busy since June it has been hard to update the website.

Over the last few months James has been working hard on several new projects. James has done a lot of work with Black Cat Audio (working along side friend Adey). Clients have included: Nine Below Zero, Sukshinder Shinda, Geno Washington (of The Ram Jam Band), Chesney Hawkes and The Rollin' Stoned.

In November James and Adey will be on tour with 'The Blues Band' lead by the original front-man from Manfred Mann, Paul Jones. Adey and James will also be working with Sukshinder Shinda again in November.

On top of the work with Black Cat Audio, James has been busy starting up his own Design Company "IN DESIGN".

James and Dean (guitarist from BON GIOVI) will be launching a NEW function band in early 2008 called 'Funktion One', keep your eyes out for news on this in the next few weeks.

James and Dean have also started work on their original project which we hope to have some clips from soon.

All in all a busy back end to 2007 and to top it off James is waiting on his 6th Shuker Bass, more news coming soon....

April 2007 - It has been a busy year and James has had almost no time to add anything new to this site. Lots of things have been going on and over the next few months you should see some news about what James is doing this year. (new projects, online lessons and more)

NEW SHUKER BASS

Bon Giovi Updates - This year James has been working Bon Giovi 3 to 5 times a week. Here is a funny story from the Bon Giovi Tour.

What do you do when you are sitting in your dressing room at a venue in south London, you get a knock on the door and it is the sound guy. He says to you – “Gareth Gates is here and wants to know if you will let him sing a song with the band”
The first thing I said was "Bull S@~T". Ten minutes later we had a knock on the door and it was Gareth. Well we said “what the hell, come sing Living on a Prayer” so he did. After the show he chilled out with us in the dressing room and had a few drinks. Gareth Gates top man and a good laugh.

James & Bon Giovi played to crowds of 15,000 people at Brands Hatch this month. Bon Giovi were also shown on one of the Sky TV channels. (footage online soon)

James & Billy Sheehan

James ran in to Billy @ PMT Northampton a few weeks ago. After signing James's yamaha attitude bass Billy gave James a lesson on how to play his song "HOPE" from one of his solo CD's."Thanks Billy for the pointers."

Rotosound Trip

For the last 'God knows how many years" Jason How from Rotosound has been inviting James to go and see/ take a tour of the Rotosound factory, in Sevenoaks, Kent. Unable to fit in a trip down to see them in the past, when Jason asked him again at Music Live this year, James jumped at the chance.
"Thank you Jason for all your support in the past. The factory tour opened my eyes to what you guys do. There is more to strings than I first thought. Hope to see you next year".

New Ashdown Custom Amp

James has just picked up his new Ashdown amp head. MK500, with his signature and a "Spinal Tap" quote printed on the front. James has just paid a visit to Ashdown UK, to try out the New MK500 amp head.
